FAQs
An automatic (self-winding) mechanical watch is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. A rotating rotor inside the movement captures kinetic energy and winds the mainspring, so no battery is ever needed. As long as you wear it regularly, it stays wound and running.
An automatic watch winds itself through wrist movement, while a manual watch must be wound by hand each day. A quartz watch uses a battery and vibrating crystal for timekeeping – it is more accurate but lacks the mechanical artistry of an automatic.
The movement used in each model is listed on its product page and in the included documentation. Our watches use high-quality Swiss and Japanese movements – such as the Sellita SW200-1 and Miyota 9015 – chosen for reliability, accuracy, and repairability.
Most quality automatic movements are accurate to within ±5–15 seconds per day, depending on the calibre. Factors such as position, temperature, and regularity of wear can affect accuracy. For laboratory-grade precision, quartz is the better choice – but for craftsmanship and wearability, automatics are unmatched.
Power reserve is how long your watch will run after being fully wound without further wrist movement. The Miyota 9015 offers a power reserve of 42 hours, while the Sellita SW200-1 offers 38 hours. In both cases, if left unworn overnight, your watch will typically still be running the next morning.
If your automatic watch stops, it has likely run out of power reserve. Give the crown 20–30 gentle clockwise turns to manually wind it, then wear it normally. If it stops frequently despite regular wear, contact our service team.

Our watches come with a 5-year international warranty covering manufacturing defects in the movement and dial. The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (scratches, strap wear)
- Crystal, strap, or buckle (unless defective on arrival)
- Damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized service
- Water damage on models not rated water-resistant
- DLC coating, heat bluing, or other surface treatments
Contact our customer service with your order number and a description of the defect. We will assess the issue and, if covered, provide a prepaid return label. Once received, our watchmaker will inspect and repair or replace the watch within 4–6 weeks.
The warranty is tied to the original purchase date and the original owner. Since warranties are pre-registered, coverage does not automatically transfer to second-hand buyers. Contact us with the purchase details to check if any remaining coverage applies.
Yes. Any service or repair performed by an unauthorized party will void the warranty. All service during the warranty period must be carried out by our authorized service centre.
All our watches are rated at 20 ATM (200 metres).
Follow these key guidelines to protect your investment:
- Wear it daily – regular wrist motion keeps it wound
- Wind manually (20–30 turns) after it stops or before daily wear
- Keep away from strong magnets (speakers, phone backs, bag clasps)
- Avoid extreme temperatures and sudden thermal shocks
- Store in a watch box or soft pouch when not wearing
- Rinse the strap with fresh water after salt water or chlorine exposure
The Vulcanized FKM strap can be wiped down with a damp cloth or rinsed under fresh water – it is highly resistant to sweat, oils, and chemicals. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh solvents or direct sunlight, which can degrade the strap over time.
We recommend a full service every 4–6 years under normal use. A service includes movement disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, regulation, reassembly, timekeeping accuracy testing, and a pressure test. If your watch starts losing or gaining significant time, do not wait – have it checked sooner.
A small variance of ±10–15 seconds per day is normal for most automatics. If your watch is deviating significantly more, it may need regulation, which a watchmaker can perform quickly. Magnetisation is a common cause of sudden timekeeping changes – keep your watch away from strong magnetic fields.
Yes. Strong magnetic fields can magnetise the steel components of the movement, causing it to run erratically fast. Common sources include phone backs, laptop speakers, bag clasps, and refrigerators. A watchmaker can demagnetise the movement in minutes at no significant cost.
All our watches come fitted with a Vulcanized FKM (Fluoroelastomer) strap. FKM is a premium rubber compound used in high-end sports and dive watches for its exceptional durability, flexibility, and resistance to sweat, oils, UV light, saltwater, and extreme temperatures. It is hypoallergenic, odour-resistant, and maintains its shape and feel over years of daily wear.
Wrap a soft tape measure or strip of paper snugly around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Mark where it overlaps and measure the length – this is your wrist circumference. Most standard straps fit wrists of 150–200mm. If you have an unusually small or large wrist, contact us before ordering.
Yes. Our watches use standard spring bars for strap attachment. A spring bar tool (available cheaply online) makes swapping straightforward and takes under a minute. Quick-release spring bars, where fitted, require no tools at all.
The FKM strap is low-maintenance and highly resilient. Rinse it with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine, and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with harsh chemical solvents or leaving the watch in direct sunlight for extended periods. No oils or conditioners are needed – unlike leather, FKM does not dry out or crack.
All watches purchased directly from us are 100% authentic and come in original manufacturer packaging. Your warranty is pre-registered at the time of purchase – no physical warranty card or serial number is required. If you have any concerns about authenticity, our customer service team is happy to verify your purchase.
